visyon is an organisation that works primarily with children and young people aged 11 to 25. We sometimes work with parents and carers of children and young people where it can be seen that there will be a benefit to the young person’s well-being. We can also work with professionals who also work with children and young people.

You are very welcome to browse our site for information about mental health issues; however, unless you are a parent or carer, or you work with children and young people, our charitable aims do not permit us to offer you direct support.

If you feel that counselling may be useful for you, you can contact your GP who may be able to put you in touch with a counsellor. There may be organisations in your area that offer counselling or other forms of mental health support, such as MIND www.mind.org.uk

There are also many private practitioners throughout the UK and you can find a list of them through the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) www.bacp.co.uk.
