37.5 hours per week - Term Time Only Based in Congleton, the work covers Cheshire East and Cheshire West and surrounding areas Starting Salary: £20,858 (37.5 hours per week, pro-rata for term time only) Role starting 1st September Holidays: 25 days per year plus statutory holiday (pro-rata) We are seeking an experienced Counsellor, with an understanding of working with children and young people. The role will be predominantly school based, with the expected case load of 20 clients per week. The role will include providing support, counselling and group work, and also support maintaining existing projects and develop new ones in and around Cheshire and beyond. This post is for 12 months initially, and will be extended if funding allows. You must have the Diploma in Counselling; 400 hours supervised counselling experience and experience of working with young people. Some flexibility is needed regarding working hours. Youth Worker 15 hours per week - 1 year fixed-term contract Based in Congleton, the work covers Cheshire East and Cheshire West and surrounding areas Starting Salary: £24,282 (37.5 hours per week, pro-rata) Role starting 1st September Holidays: 25 days per year plus statutory holiday (pro-rata) v i s y o n is seeking a dynamic Youth Worker with experience of creative arts and multi-media technology, who will undertake the development and delivery of workshops, group work and individual support for young people around themes of emotional health and well-being. The role will involve: consultation with young people; planning, preparation and delivery of workshops and group work in schools and youth organisations; individual mentoring; preparation for and attendance on 2 annual residential weekends for young people; regular monitoring and evaluation, with reporting to the Participation Worker. This post is for 12 months initially and maybe extended if funding allows. This is a part time post which will require flexibility due to the requirement to work evenings and occasional weekends and is subject to a satisfactory enhanced CRB check. Volunteer At the moment we have volunteer vacancies for: Secretary to the Board of Trustees - This role would involve attending the trustee meetings (carried out every six to eight weeks), taking the minutes, typing them up and circulating them to trustees and relevant staff members. It would also involved working closely with our CEO and Chair of trustees to produce the agenda for the meeting and to distribute the required paperwork to the trustees prior to the meetings. Creative Space A new project for visyon working with young people using a wide range of creative mediums. Currently at the design stage of the project, with a new team recruited in February. Fundraising volunteers – a team of people to support our Fundraising Support Officer who is working to build a series of fundraising events and is looking at other ways of raising money locally – perhaps you would have some ideas! Funding Bids/ Grant applications - v i s y o n gains a proportion of it’s funding from Funding Grants and Bids. We are looking for a volunteer to research funding bids and grants available. To assess our suitability for the grant, and if appropriate complete an application. This role will require working closely with our Fundraising Support Officer, and our CEO. Receptionists - Quality Assurance Project - v i s y o n is working towards attaining quality assurance accreditation. We are looking for a volunteer to pull together the information required, and filling out relevant paper work required to gain the Quality Assurance titles. Volunteer Coordinator - Working closely with the Centre Manager to support, help and coordinate volunteers. Helping to recruit new volunteers, communicating of events, which we need volunteer to help with, and arranging volunteer events. Event volunteers - v i s y o n is looking for a number of volunteers to help out at and promote v i s y o n at regular events. These events are generally held in the evening or at weekends. We are also looking for people who would be interested in running an event to raise money for v i s y o n . v i s y o n Speaker - Someone who has experience of public speaking who would be able to carry out talks to a wide variety of groups to help promote and raise awareness of v i s y o n . This would require the volunteer to gain a sound understanding of v i s y o n , including our objectives and values. We offer out-of-pocket expenses, opportunities to take part in training and social events. All volunteers who are likely to come into contact with young people in their volunteering role will need to have a Criminal Records Check.
