Now spring is here, and lambs are born,
the daffodil’s in bloom.
We’ll be hiding eggs for kids to find
and filling our faces soon.
The clocks have changed, and so the evenings
start to linger light.
For most of us, the change will help us
feel upbeat and bright.
But don’t be fooled. Don’t think that you can
stop caring for yourself.
There are simple things that you can do
to preserve your mental health.
It’s fine to indulge in lavish foods
like hot cross buns and eggs,
but try not to overdo the junk
and don’t forget your veg.
And now the weather’s brightening up,
get out and get some air.
A gentle walk in nature can help you
forget your cares.
You might spend time with family
which can be both bad and good.
Enjoy it, but if you feel you need
to take some space, you should.
Remember that not everyone
will feel their stress get lesser.
Soon there’ll be exams at school;
some kids will feel the pressure.
So look after yourselves and your families.
Be sure to have some fun!
Make time for each other, and for yourself.
Happy Easter everyone!
