The key to this training is that young people can name and express emotions in order to manage them. Preventative strategies are explored for helping children to manage anger, anxiety and sadness as well as giving staff tools to de-escalate situations and manage them confidently. We introduce Emotion Coaching skills and how to incorporate Emotional Mental Health into the curriculum.
This session trains staff to deliver the Self-Care, (5 ways to wellbeing) offer without a TFS facilitator. It is intended for staff who have already got knowledge and understanding of mental, health and wellbeing.

This is an overview to tackling bullying in school. The session covers understanding and clearly defining what bullying is (and isn’t); myth busting – the facts not the fiction; the links between bullying and mental health and; an introduction to some practical strategies to tackle bullying.

This training enables staff to deliver a targeted, 40 minute session over 6 weeks. Pupils create their individual resilience buckets and fill these with tools including naming and expressing emotions, controlling impulses, positive self-talk, building belonging, empathy and building on success. This training works best when delivered in small groups of up to six.
This training enables staff to deliver a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) approach to help children make connections between thoughts, feelings, body signals and behaviour and to manage emotions and thoughts in a positive way. The course is delivered to students in 10 x 45 minute sessions over one term.

Supports staff who want to consider work-life balance. Signs of stress and the need to self-care are highlighted, followed by practical ways to reduce the impact of stress. Tools include the NHS resource, 5 Ways to Wellbeing. There is also a ‘staff voice’ component and we recommend that SLT’s use this as a starting point for a wider staff wellbeing strategy.
