At Visyon we believe that all children, young people and their families should feel welcome, comfortable and included when accessing any of our services. With accessibility in mind we've created a welcoming environment and offer resources to make your experience as stress free as possible.
Virtual building tour
Explore our bases online before you visit so that children and parents know what to expect when they arrive for an appointment. You can also request a tour before your first appointment should that help you to prepare for your next visit.
Social stories
Visual guides can help to reduce anxiety for children and young people, helping them to understand what will happen during their visit. You can download these and bring them with you on your visits.
Physical access
Both of our bases offer disabled parking spaces, have ground floor toilets and ground floor counselling rooms available. If visiting our Crewe base please let us know if you need parking and/or a ground floor counselling room.
Inclusive toilets
We have toilet facilities that are gender neutral and accessible to everyone ensuring a safe and welcoming space.
Sensory friendly spaces
All our counselling rooms offer soft lighting, blankets and cushions to create a calming environment. If you find our waiting area is too busy for you we can offer you a quiet space on your own.
Counselling room resources
To help reduce stress and anxiety during your appointment all our counselling rooms have fidget toys available, we can even find you an exercise ball to sit on if you find our chairs, sofas or floor uncomfortable. Coloured reading overlays are in each room too should visual aids make reading easier during your session.
